REPRESENTING EUROPEAEN INTERESTS in Western Pennsylvania, we are experienced in negotiating the cultural differences which distinguish European and North American business practices.

INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS claims prosecuted by our attorneys have included vindicating the rights of individuals and business entities. For example, we used federal civil rights laws to successfully challenge the illegal assessment of taxes by the City of Pittsburgh, forcing the City to revise its tax forms and procedures. We have also challenged municipal abuse of the eminent domain power to control businesses and restrict citizens' use of their own property

EMINENT DOMAIN AND ZONING today mean more than just valuing property. Municipalities increasingly attempt to use "economic development" as a pretext for controlling who can do business, and where. This attempt to expand government power implicates important civil rights, beyond the right to be paid for condemned property. Our experience goes beyond confronting government property seizures to include challenging the use of eminent domain to control how people live.

TECHNOLOGY-BASED FIRMS have become an important force in Pittsburgh's economy. Our experience in this area includes a broad range of legal problems confronting high-technology business enterprises, in court and out: routine collection matters; business organization; protecting clients' competitive interests and intellectual assets; and preparation/enforcement of confidentiality, non-competition, non-solicitation, and employment agreements.

RESPONSIBILITY & ACCESSIBILITY
There is no "phone mail" here. Clients are not passed from attorney to attorney, only to be billed later for bringing each successive attorney "up to speed." We pay attention, respond to questions, and do what we say we will do. Every attorney at this firm is a person you can count upon. We ask the right questions, and we give you straight answers.

ABILITY & INTEGRITY
When peer reviewed, our firm has been given the highest possible rating for legal ability and ethical standards.
